The Product Engineer is responsible for providing support and maintenance services across a product portfolio, encompassing both operational and project deliverables. This role ensures that applications are kept up to date in accordance with product roadmaps and business needs.

  • Provides level 1 and level 2 application support and maintenance services
  • Installation, configuration, administration, support, maintenance and troubleshooting of application portfolio
  • Engagement with 3rd party vendors as part of support and maintenance activities
  • Provide support for Onshore and offshore business applications
  • Related hardware accessory support and asset management
  • Ensure timely and accurate testing of solutions, patches and other maintenance activities prior to deployment
  • Works with third party vendors to ensure services are supported
  • Engagement with other IS functions to ensure successful deployment of solutions into production
  • Deploys and manages solutions to meet defined business specific needs as defined through the product maps/lifecycles

Requirements

  • Experience of Cloud Application services, M365, Azure, SQL. AD ·
  • Experience of database technologies such as SQL Server and Oracle
  • Experience of application installation and configuration
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of managing the support and testing of applications
  • Strong on documentation, processes, and a determined finisher, capable of handling the day-to-day operational pressure
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills to be able to juggle multiple issues and changing priorities
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to liaise with various areas of the business
  • Experience in supporting enterprise applications within the energy and utilities sector preferred but not essential.
