John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Product Development Technologist to lead safety, legality, quality and sustainability across product lifecycles. You will manage supplier technical relationships and develop products that meet regulatory and ethical standards, while driving continuous improvement in performance and fit.

Based at our London Central Office with a hybrid working pattern, this 14-month fixed-term role requires expertise in garment construction, testing, and supplier collaboration

Qualificações

• Experience in product development, testing and compliance.
• Ability to engage suppliers and manage technical relationships.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and fit.
• Awareness of sustainability, safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver compliant, safe, and high-quality product assortments.
• Set, maintain and communicate product specifications and standards.
• Develop and implement technical strategy into category strategy.
• Review and approve product development against standards.
• Test and certify compliance for all legal and performance standards.
• Support end-to-end product development from concept to delivery.
• Assess product on performance, safety, and fit and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure compliance and reduce returns.
