Job summary
Mondelēz International is seeking a Senior Food Scientist to advance product quality and consumer experience. You will drive the team’s agenda, perform technical evaluations of raw materials and recipes, and conduct hands-on testing at pilot plant and manufacturing sites.
You will collaborate with Procurement, Process, Quality, Regulatory, and Project Management teams to identify productivity opportunities and solve medium to complex problems.
Qualifications
- Few years of experience in the Food Industry.
- Bachelor's degree in food science or related field.
- Master's degree a plus.
- Fluency in English.
- Comfortable in a lab and manufacturing environment.

As a Senior Food Scientist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our products meet consumer expectations. Your expertise will help you to identify productivity opportunities as well as define and solve medium to complex problems.
In this role, you will focus on driving and executing the team's agenda while keeping or improving product quality and consumer experience. Working with a fast-paced cross-functional team, you will be responsible for technical evaluation and validation of raw materials and recipes. You will drive hands‑on application testing at the pilot plant and manufacturing site level, leveraging experimental design. In your role, you will engage in cross‑functional collaboration with teams including Procurement, Process, Quality, Regulatory, and Project Management.

- Independently leading medium to complex projects
- Influencing others with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Communicating complex technical problems and solutions clearly and concisely to key stakeholders, adapting style and content accordingly
- Proactively identifying technical or business problems and creating and implementing solutions
- Understanding food ingredient functionality, formulation, and processing
- Strategically prioritising multiple initiatives and adhering to deadlines.
- Applying technical curiosity and scientific understanding to interpret data, reach clear conclusions, and influence decision‑making
- Working with your network of suppliers and internal SMEs to deliver technical solutions

What you need to know about this position: This role offers great growth opportunities within a technical role. It is fast‑paced, requires balancing multiple deliverables, and offers visibility across the organisation.
Drive for excellence, eagerness to learn, culinary appreciation, and a sense of humour (even when the work is serious).
Few years of experience in the Food Industry. Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field required; Master’s degree a plus.
Fluency in English, our operating business language. Must be comfortable in a lab and manufacturing environment.
Flexible working schedule aligned with core hours (9 AM – 5 PM).
