Job summary

Mondelez International is seeking a Packaging Development & Engineering professional to lead end-to-end packaging development for biscuits & chocolate products. You will plan and execute RDQ activities, conduct trials and create packaging specifications to meet consumer needs.

You will work under a manager to organize projects across geographies, ensure GMP/HACCP compliance, and collaborate with marketing, production and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Packaging, Food Science, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of FMCG packaging experience preferred.
  • Strong packaging design, innovation and sustainability interest.
  • Proven project management and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Curiosity about industry trends and new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and execute RDQ packaging projects across geographies.
  • Plan and conduct activities to generate packaging information.
  • Create technical reports and packaging specifications.
  • Pilot plant and factory trials in line with GMP and HACCP.
  • Define consumer and user packaging requirements.
  • Support development with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor projects against timeline and budget.
  • Travel occasionally within MEU as required.

Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete Packaging Design and Packaging Deployment for Innovation/Growth projects and productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct activities to generate appropriate packaging information, using sampling and supplier management, and pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In this role, you will plan and conduct process development activities (e.g. packaging design and specifications, packaging scale up, commissioning etc.) and help with planning and the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. You will also create technical reports, which will require your skills in analysis and interpretation of results that will lead to conclusions and recommendations; create and maintain accurate packaging specifications; and create intellectual property to drive our competitive advantage.

The Opportunity

You will be instrumental in driving technical excellence, creativity, and strategic foresight to develop breakthrough packaging solutions that delight consumers and meet stringent industry standards.

You will take part in the end-to-end development of packaging for our biscuits & chocolate portfolio, from concept to shelf:

  • Help define consumer and user packaging requirements.
  • Support the development of new packaging in collaboration with R&D product, marketing, production, procurement and suppliers.
  • Conduct packaging tests in laboratory, carry out trial on packaging line.
  • Analyse packaging performance in term of quality, cost & environmental impact.
  • Monitor packaging projects in line with timeline and budget.

Your profile:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Packaging, Food Science, or related field.
  • Min. 2-3 years' experience ideally within fast moving consumer goods or consumer packaging goods environment.
  • Strong interest in packaging design, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Project management and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – CAD software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precision and excellence in all aspects of design and specification.
  • A proactive,solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive projects forward.
  • Strong communicationand collaboration skills to effectively partner with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate curiosityby staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to bring fresh thinking to the team.

Travel Requirements

The candidate must have availability to occasional travel within MEU (dependingon project requirements).

Important: this is a fixed-term contract from September or October/2026 until December/2027.
