Job summary

Tangerine Group is seeking an experienced Product Development Scientist to lead New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) from concept to launch. You will work across functions with customers, suppliers and experts to deliver scientifically robust and commercially successful solutions.

Role involves formulation, validation, regulatory support and tech transfer, blending research with hands-on laboratory work and collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in a science discipline with 2:1 or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of product development or related experience.
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Research industry trends and regulatory developments to identify opportunities.
• Conduct literature reviews and competitor analyses to support product innovation.
• Develop business cases for new products and technology.
• Formulate products ensuring efficacy, safety and quality.
• Create product specifications and evidence-based efficacy strategies.
• Design and run stability studies and palatability trials.
• Support tech transfer from lab to manufacturing with pilot trials.
• Produce batch records and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive projects.
• Provide technical support to commercial, regulatory and marketing teams.
