Job summary
Carlsberg Britvic in Hemel Hempstead invites you to join the GB Product Development Team as a sandwich-year student. You will work on lab development to factory implementation, influencing future products and gaining hands-on experience in the FMCG sector.
The role involves varied projects from new product development to researching ingredients, with on-site work five days a week, travel to Beckton/Leeds/Rugby sites, and a 12-month fixed-term contract starting July 2027.
Qualifications
- Student currently in the second year of university with a sandwich placement option in the third year.
- Working toward a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on liquid development in our lab based in Hemel Hempstead.
- Research and evaluate new ingredients.
- Support product scale-up in GB factories, including pilot plant trials.
- Submit samples for laboratory analysis and clearly communicate results to stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, creativity, and innovation across product pipelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with insights, analytical, procurement, and other teams.
