Citi Belfast is seeking a visionary VP Product Owner to lead end-to-end product strategy within the Enterprise Data Office. You will partner with Risk, Product and Technology to shape data-driven solutions and align roadmaps with strategic priorities across wholesale credit domains.

You’ll engage senior stakeholders, drive complex cross-functional initiatives, and own the product vision and execution while enabling engineering delivery with an enterprise mindset.

Qualifications

• Translate enterprise strategy into engineering delivery and scalable data solutions.
• Experience in product development, credit risk, or technology in banking.
• Credit risk knowledge and experience.
• Data analytics and BI knowledge and experience.
• Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) and data manipulation (SQL/Python).
• Strong communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proactive, multi-project management in fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with analytical mindset.
• Project management experience leading large cross-functional initiatives.

Job description

The Team sit within Citi’s Enterprise Data Office and have a focus on serving our business partners within ICM. Institutional Credit Management (ICM) aims to provide integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, and management of risks for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.

This data and product development role will help shape the portfolio, limits & collateral target state process, data & capabilities across business lines, through engagement with 1st line teams, technology & individual business product teams. The candidate will serve as a strategic product leader accountable for defining, executing, and scaling end-to-end product vision across high-impact business domains. Operating with an enterprise mindset, the VP Product Owner bridges business strategy, customer needs, architecture, and engineering execution.

What you’ll do

• Define, champion, and own the multi-quarter and multi-year product strategy aligned with business priorities and organizational objectives
• Manages complex cross-functional stakeholder ecosystems
• Interact with senior business stakeholders to understand their problem statement & design technical & process-based tactical & strategic solutions, using data-driven approaches
• Create a product vision aligned to business priorities and corresponding road-map to delivery
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, as well as the data & analytics subject matter expect (SME), providing regular updates on project progress and addressing feedback independently
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance products and processes to improve efficiency and decision-making
• Identify data patterns & trends, and provide insights to business stakeholders
• Interact with Risk, Product & Technology to distil long term vision, industry trends, and incorporate them into the product & solutions strategy

What we’ll need from you

• Ability to connect macro-level enterprise strategy to micro-level engineering delivery; identify downstream impacts across interconnected enterprise systems
• Experience in product development, credit risk, or technology roles ideally in banking
• Credit Risk knowledge & experience
• Data & Analytics, and data visualization / business intelligence knowledge & experience
• Experience in end-to-end project delivery, with knowledge of analytical tools for visualization (e.g. Tableau) and an ability to manipulate data using SQL and/or Python
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Keen attention to detail and process/analytic mindset
• Project Management skills with experience leading large cross functional initiatives
