Qualifications

Job Description

As part of our Commercial Division, you will be integral to the success of the business, ensuring our customers have the best products to meet their needs, at the most valuable price, at the right time. The Commercial Design Team ensures all products across groups are designed and enhanced with a commercial focus to meet current and emerging customer needs. The team's main focus is evolving the Group's continuity products and creating new products.

A Frasers Group Product Designer reacts to sales information and enhances continuity products while developing new products to meet customer needs. Working on brands such as USA PRO and Slazenger, they create a diverse range of products.

They research market trends through media, observation, and brand development. Based on research or briefs from the Commercial Management Team, they adapt existing products, revise the product mix, or design new products, balancing trend following with commercial performance.

They report to the Head of Design and produce accurate specification artwork and tech packs for factory submission. They brief suppliers, manage sampling meetings, and present ranges to Commercial Managers.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Research, analyze, and develop current products commercially and innovatively.
  2. Create, develop, and design new equipment ranges for relevant brands.
  3. Maintain brand consistency across all product groups aligned with brand and customer profiles.
  4. Deliver innovative, functional, and commercially relevant product designs.
  5. Collaborate with designers, brand owners, factories, and suppliers to ensure clear communication of research, range plans, tech packs, and development.
  6. Design in 3D; experience in AI visual developments is beneficial.
  7. Experience in designing sports equipment is advantageous.

Minimum Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in a design discipline.
  • Experience in sports equipment or hard goods is preferable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop required).
  • Ability to generate ideas and concepts.
  • Problem identification and improvement skills.
  • Project management experience with a proven track record.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Ability to manage and deliver large SKU volumes.
