Job summary

TransferGo is seeking an experienced product design leader to drive major initiatives across problem framing, discovery, design and post-launch iteration. You will partner with Product Managers and Engineers to shape direction and balance customer value with feasibility.

You will translate complex financial journeys into accessible experiences, using qualitative research and AI-assisted tools while safeguarding privacy. Hybrid work is available.

• Lead significant product initiatives from problem framing and discovery through design, validation, delivery and post-launch iteration;
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to define problems, shape product direction and balance customer value, business goals and technical feasibility;
• Turn complex financial journeys and requirements into clear, accessible and trustworthy web and mobile experiences;
• Use qualitative research, behavioural data, experimentation and product metrics to identify opportunities, evaluate trade-offs and measure impact;
• Plan and conduct research and validation, including user interviews, usability testing, concept testing and collaborative workshops;
• Develop and communicate a coherent design vision for initiatives;
• Create user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes, interfaces and specifications, including edge cases and non-ideal states;
• Collaborate with Engineering throughout delivery to ensure feasibility and implementation quality;
• Contribute to and evolve the design system by creating reusable patterns and improving consistency;
• Use AI-assisted tools for research synthesis, problem framing, exploration, content design, prototyping, data analysis and design reviews;
• Evaluate AI-generated work critically, protecting customer privacy and applying human judgement to accuracy, accessibility, quality and appropriateness;
• Communicate recommendations and design decisions using evidence and storytelling to build alignment and influence stakeholders;
• Mentor and support other designers through critique, feedback and practical guidance;
• Improve design processes by identifying opportunities to make them faster, clearer and more effective.

• 5+ Years of experience designing and shipping digital products within cross-functional product teams;
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership, strategic product thinking, polished UX/UI craft and measurable customer or business impact;
• Experience independently leading complex initiatives from ambiguity through discovery, delivery and iteration;
• Strong product judgement and ability to balance desirability, usability, viability, feasibility and delivery constraints;
• Advanced interaction and visual design skills with attention to detail, accessibility, consistency and usability;
• Strong systems thinking across connected journeys, platforms, teams and future product development;
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, prototyping and component-based workflows;
• Experience contributing to or evolving design systems;
• Ability to choose and apply appropriate research and validation methods;
• Experience using qualitative and quantitative evidence to make decisions and evaluate outcomes;
• Practical familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows or evidence of actively developing this capability;
• Ability to assess AI output critically and use it responsibly;
• Strong communication, facilitation and storytelling skills;
• Proactive collaboration with Product and Engineering, including early partner involvement and constructive constraint management;
• Ability to organise design artefacts and documentation clearly;
• Confidence challenging assumptions, giving and receiving constructive feedback, and changing direction based on evidence;
• Ability to balance speed and quality, make pragmatic trade-offs and move work forward without perfect information;
• User-first, low-ego approach grounded in curiosity, empathy, accountability and ownership;
• Fluent English language skills;
• Nice to have: Experience designing fintech, payments, banking, SaaS or other complex and regulated digital products, experience designing for customers across different countries, languages, financial literacy levels or accessibility needs, experience with complex data, experimentation platforms or product analytics tools, familiarity with design tokens, Code Connect, code-backed prototyping or related workflows, experience building or sharing AI-assisted workflows, prompt libraries, design-review practices or rapid prototyping approaches, experience contributing to product strategy, roadmap conversations or cross-team initiatives.
