Job summary

Samsung in the United Kingdom is seeking a Product Designer to develop innovative concepts across product categories, from early research to final presentation. The role blends industrial design fundamentals with AI-enabled experiences, storytelling, and hands-on execution.

You will translate user, cultural and technology insights into meaningful product experiences, collaborating with UX, CMF, engineering and business teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality designs.

• Ability to interpret Samsung's design principles across product categories.
• Move between research, concept thinking and hands-on design.
• Curiosity, initiative and ownership to develop ideas into compelling proposals.
• Strong communication and collaboration across design disciplines and global teams.
• Interest in AI, UX, interaction design and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop original product concepts based on user needs and cultural insights.
• Explore AI, intelligent interaction and new technologies for meaningful relationships between people and products.
• Translate research into clear product opportunities and design narratives.
• Develop product architecture, form, proportion and signature elements.
• Maintain hands-on design capability from concept to final proposal.
• Create sketches, 2D concepts, 3D CAD, prototypes and visualisations.
• Develop prototypes to communicate product behaviour and user experience.
• Collaborate with UX, CMF, Engineering, Technology and Business teams to create coherent experiences.
• Deliver persuasive design presentations across reviews.
• Apply Generative AI and related tools where appropriate.
• Respond to feedback and manage timelines and deliverables.
• Contribute ideas and support across studio projects.
