Job description

You’ll be one of the first people helping us build Clove from the ground up. Your work will directly shape how our customers interact with their advisors and manage their wealth for the first time in a human, guided, mobile-first way.

What you’ll do:

  • Design the core user experience of Clove from the ground up, across iOS, advisor web tools, and internal systems.

  • Lead the end-to-end design process — from research and ideation through to polished UI and launch.

  • Own the design system and help define visual identity, interaction patterns, and product feel.

  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and founders to shape flows that are trustworthy, elegant, and efficient.

  • Design tools and workflows for both consumers (iOS) and advisors (web) — each with very different UX needs.

  • Contribute to brand, storytelling, and tone — working alongside marketing and content where needed.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of product design experience, ideally working across both consumer-facing apps and internal or advisor-style tools.

  • A portfolio that shows strong UX thinking, clean interface craft, and clear attention to user context.

  • Experience designing products in fintech, productivity tools, or regulated environments is a major plus.

  • Comfortable moving between lo-fi exploration and pixel-perfect Figma files — and bringing engineering along with you.

  • You can lead design autonomously, but love working closely with product, engineering, and content.

  • Bonus: experience shaping early-stage design systems, branding, or mobile-first flows.

Why join now:

  1. Take full ownership of how Clove feels and functions, across all surfaces — from mobile to advisor tools to internal ops.

  2. Play a pivotal role in reinventing financial advice built for our generation.

  3. Join a tight-knit, senior founding team working closely across product, design, and ops where your decisions drive real impact and your learning curve stays steep.

What we offer:

  1. Competitive salary & meaningful equity — real ownership in what we’re building

  2. London HQ with flexible working — we believe in time spent together, in person, but we also care about flexibility

  3. A-grade tools & setup — top-tier hardware and your choice of software

  4. Autonomy and impact — you’ll own your work end-to-end and help shape our direction from the early days

  5. High-trust, high-performance culture — small senior team, no micromanagement, fast feedback loops

  6. Mission with momentum — we're closing the advice gap for a new generation, backed by proven founders and real market insight

  7. Regular offsites & in-person time — we make space for connection and collaboration

Our hiring process isn’t rigid, but our principles are clear:

  • We’ll do what’s needed to build mutual trust: you’ll understand what we expect from you, and we’ll understand what you expect from us.

  • We’ll aim for clarity of the role, though at this stage, some scope will evolve — and that’s part of the excitement.

  • Expect conversations with the founding team and potential collaborators. No hoops for the sake of it — just real conversations, practical exercises if relevant, and space to ask questions.
