Job summary

Scolmore Group in Tamworth is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join the Technical Team. You will contribute to the full product lifecycle, designing lighting and luminaires, evaluating suppliers, and ensuring UK compliance.

You'll manage concepts to launch with supportive documentation, prototype and test designs, and collaborate across internal teams and with Far East manufacturing. A relevant engineering degree and hands-on design experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or science or equivalent.
• Experience in product design or mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of injection moulding and manufacturing.
• Ability to prototyping and testing designs.
• Good problem solving and design processes.

Responsibilities

• Apply innovative problem-solving to support lighting product concepts and other ranges.
• Manage projects from concept to launch with necessary documentation.
• Support design reviews with Product Design Manager and Technical Director.
• Communicate across technical teams and with Far East production.
• Maintain documentation for handover and compliance.
