Our cutting-edge technology ensures that you can always find the best professional for any job. With a talented team of over 200 dedicated individuals, we're committed to providing exceptional service and ensuring that our customers are satisfied every step of the way.

This is an exciting time to join our scaling business, we recently placed in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024, and previously were64th in the Sunday Times 100 fastest growing private tech companies in 2023.

As a profitable scale-up, Bark is in a unique position to offer the best of both worlds; the excitement and agility of a start up combined with the financial security and backing of a renowned private equity firm, EMK Capital. You'll have ownership, agility, responsibility and stimulation without any of the worry.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Product Data Analyst to join the Data & Insight (D&I) Team at Bark. The D&I Team plays a pivotal role within Bark, providing recommendations, insights, and strategic learnings to internal stakeholders across the business. We’re particularly looking for someone who has a track record of leveraging analytics to deliver business value, ideally with experience in a marketplace business environment.

Your focus will primarily be with the Product function, helping to drive better business decision-making through data-driven insights. You will report on product experimentation, enabling the Product squads to better serve our customers, and provide recommendations that help shape the customer experience across the Bark platform. You will also be a key contributor to progressing the D&I team’s experimentation processes, techniques and capabilities. We are passionate about delivering value to our Buyers and Sellers in new ways, so curiosity and a desire to understand the unique behaviours of our users on both sides of the Bark marketplace are essential for success in this role.

You will also work closely with the broader D&I team, developing a wide understanding of all facets of the business. This could involve showcasing results from experiments, providing actionable recommendations to cross-functional teams, and identifying opportunities for improvement across different areas. Each quarter you will also work on one or more initiatives with your teammates to develop novel analytical capabilities and techniques for use within the business, focusing on advanced techniques or emergent technologies such as LLMs and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and analysis of A/B and multivariate experiments across product and commercial initiatives, applying statistical rigour to quantify impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineering, and D&I colleagues to identify priorities, coordinate timelines, track progress, and share results.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that highlight key metrics and experimental outcomes.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within the product development and analytics lifecycles.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (Google Standard SQL, MySQL or similar relational database language).
  • Familiarity with Google BigQuery or another large-scale data warehouse solution.
  • Experience using Tableau (or similar) to create and manage data sources, and present complex insights clearly.
  • Highly competent in Python for data analysis tasks.
  • Deep understanding of statistical concepts and tests, with the ability to discern appropriate application.
  • Significant experience in designing and rigorously analyzing experiments (e.g., A/B tests) using statistical methods.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical findings and recommendations to different audiences.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a high-performance environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Eagerness to learn and continually develop new skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality outputs under tight timelines.

Perks and Benefits

  • Share options in a rapidly growing company whose founders have a proven track record and are Private Equity backed
  • Flexible working policy with a central office in London
  • Private health insurance run by Bupa
  • Personal annual L&D Budgets to spend on your development
  • Enhanced Gympass membership for all employees with access to mental health courses and fitness classes
  • Fully stocked kitchen and monthlylunches
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Regular wellness days with industry leading talks through to massages in the office
  • Access to Oliva - a mental wellbeing platform
  • Being at the forefront of an industry with new and exciting problems to solve
