The CFP Energy (RMS) Product Control team collaborates across the business to monitor, control, and report on operational and commercial performance, ensuring a strong control environment to minimize operational risk.
Essential functions of the job:
Key responsibilities:
- Complete daily reporting of position, exposure, P&L (including attribution/explained)
- Perform P&L analysis and commentary (monthly, quarterly, yearly) with commercial teams
- Reconcile and substantiate trading balance sheets and gross margin accounts
- Conduct independent price verification, including trade curve methodology
- Ensure accuracy of valuation methodologies and calculations (MTM, cash settlement, inventory value)
- Manage market curve and external price data ingestion and usage
- Provide ad hoc analysis and develop tools to support decision-making
- Offer expertise and guidance on Product Control matters
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including auditors and price providers
- Collaborate across the Group for risk management and P&L reporting
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Participate in change initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist in incident review and remediation
Skills required:

Experience required:
- Experience in a similar role within commodities industry
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Technical experience with commodities trading and risk management software
- Stakeholder collaboration experience
