Job description

About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 07 Product Consultant, Channels CX

The Role

As a first point of contact for clients of S&P Global Market Intelligence’s data feeds and AI products, you will help clients get the most from Xpressfeed, Snowflake, and our AI products: Deterministic Retrieval and Adaptive Retrieval. You will learn the data packages we support and apply your financial knowledge, SQL, and technical skills to resolve client questions quickly and accurately.

The Team

You will join a collaborative and a highly professional team. You will build broad knowledge of the financial markets, including equities, fixed income, and commodities, while working alongside colleagues who set high standards and support each other’s growth.

The Impact

You are the link between our clients and our products. By answering client queries with confidence and a deep understanding of our data, our tools, and the industry, you will help clients reach reliable results in the most efficient way. You will learn who our clients are and how they use our solutions, so you can act as a trusted consultant rather than just a support contact. This is a high‑visibility role with a direct influence on client satisfaction and on how our products evolve.

What’s in It for You

Start in a frontline role with daily exposure to colleagues across Support, Sales, and Product Management. This visibility creates opportunities for growth, including beyond the department. Gain hands‑on access to a wide and growing range of S&P Global datasets. Explore them at S&P Global Marketplace. Learn more about our flagship feed product: Xpressfeed.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to client inquiries on our data feeds, Snowflake delivery, and AI products (Deterministic Retrieval and Adaptive Retrieval).
  • Investigate and resolve data and technical questions using SQL, Python, and your knowledge of financial statements.
  • Deliver timely, professional, high‑quality support.
  • Log and track client issues accurately in our CRM system.
  • Document new solutions, known issues, and product updates to grow the team’s knowledge base.
  • Partner with internal teams to route client concerns, enhancement requests, and sales leads.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and keep up with new product releases and enhancements.

All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional‑level fluency in French, German, or Italian, in addition to English.
  • Working knowledge of corporate financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
  • SQL proficiency, including strong command of query syntax.
  • Basic Python knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative, team‑first approach, and comfort in a fast‑changing environment.

We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in‑person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with asset classes such as public and private equity, fixed income, and commodities.
  • Experience with the Capital IQ platform or related S&P Global products.
  • Interest in or exposure to AI and retrieval‑based tools.
