Job summary

Screwfix is seeking a part-time Digital Catalogue Assistant to support our Digital & Data team on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will help classify products accurately, enhance discoverability, and present listings clearly across the website, collaborating with Content, Ranging and Digital Merchandising teams.

This 30-hour role offers hybrid working with up to 2 days at home, competitive benefits, and opportunities to contribute to ongoing catalogue growth and improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and methodical handling of product information.
• Interest in e-commerce, digital trading, SEO and online customer journeys.
• Understanding of how taxonomy and navigation affect product discoverability.
• Good organisation to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with wider teams and collaborate.
• Capability to work accurately in a fast-paced digital environment.
• Proactive approach to flag issues or opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Apply and maintain product taxonomy to ensure accurate categorisation and discoverability.
• Review taxonomy and flag opportunities for new categories based on product intake.
• Provide recommendations to Content teams for clear, SEO-friendly titles.
• Carry out regular website and merchandising checks for launched lines.
• Support management of clearance, refurbished and ad hoc requests within timescales.
• Provide ad hoc support to the Digital Merchandising team as required.
