Role details:

Our client, operating in the defence and aerospace sector, is seeking a Product Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and compliance of products in a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership in Bid Work & Quality Planning (QP): Lead quality assurance input into bid and proposal work, develop and maintain Quality Plans aligned with AQAP 2105, and collaborate with engineering, programme management, and commercial teams to define quality objectives.
• Risk-Based Product Assurance & Decision-Making: Support R&D teams with risk identification workshops, employ methodologies like FMEA and DFMEA, and guide trade-off decisions between innovation, compliance, and risk.
• Design & Development Assurance: Ensure compliance with AQAP 2105, conduct Design Assurance Reviews, and support verification and validation plans to ensure product reliability.
• Cross-Functional Engagement & Governance: Act as the primary quality interface across teams, provide assurance to stakeholders, manage configuration and change processes, and support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for in you:

• Experience in quality assurance within defence or aerospace sectors.
• Knowledge of AQAP 2105, DEF STANs, AS9100D, and related regulations.
• Proficiency in developing Quality Plans and risk assessment methodologies.
• Understanding of V&V processes, configuration, and change management.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
