Job description

Location: Huntingdon (onsite only)

Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on experience

A supplier of high-quality metals and materials, our client specialises in the research and development sectors with a strong focus on science and industry. Their technical teams have contributed to scientific breakthroughs in nuclear fusion, the fight against COVID-19, and space exploration probes reaching Saturn.

Established in London in 1946, the company now supplies materials globally and has offices in the UK, France, Germany, USA, and China. Backed by the Private Equity firm Battery Ventures, the company is on an exciting growth trajectory with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.

The Role

You will provide timely and accurate regulatory and industry advice, conduct risk reporting, and monitor compliance over key controls and risks to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver monthly and quarterly compliance reports.
  2. Update and manage REACH/RoHS/Conflict Mineral and other product compliance data, ensuring clear internal and external communication.
  3. Monitor, investigate, and report on product compliance and regulatory requirements, devising plans to address any obstacles.
  4. Communicate changes in compliance policies and procedures across the business.
  5. Manage internal audits and support external audits.
  6. Participate in internal training for other departments across multiple jurisdictions.
  7. Document trade and Customs procedures for integration into the Quality system.
  8. Support the Compliance Manager with regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
  9. Implement reporting and compliance obligations.
Key Requirements
  1. Lead compliance monitoring, including customer journey reviews and risk/control assessments.
  2. Prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
  3. Stay motivated and motivate team members.
  4. Take ownership of tasks and issues, addressing or delegating as appropriate.
  5. Achieve departmental targets and goals.
  6. Report on departmental KPIs.
