Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Product Analyst focused on Digital to shape our digital product direction. You will work with stakeholders, engineers and delivery leads to ensure successful development, implementation and optimization of digital solutions.

You will analyse requirements, collaborate across teams, and translate feedback into prioritized backlogs, using Agile practices to drive delivery in a flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Data and API integration understanding, including Databricks Lakehouse, Unity Catalogue and Delta Share.
• Agile methodologies experience and proficiency in Business Process Mapping.
• Understanding of Scrum and Kanban development practices.
• Experience with tools like Miro, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Figma and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements and data/integrations and define clear specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, data team, delivery leads and stakeholders to integrate products into systems and processes.
• Collect and analyse user feedback to refine features with a user-centric approach.
• Ensure successful delivery of products using Agile methodologies.
• Manage and refine product backlogs with Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
• Perform gap analysis and propose improvements to processes and systems to support delivery.

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations : Reading/Forbury Place, Havant/Penner Road, Cardiff or Perth

Salary: £50,964 - £60,899 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

As Product Analyst with a focus on Digital, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our Digital products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, engineers, delivery leads to ensure the successful development, implementation, and optimization of Digital solutions:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements and associated data/integrations and collaborate with stakeholders to define clear and detailed specifications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data team, delivery lead and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of products into existing systems and processes.
• Collect and analyse user feedback to refine products features and functionalities, ensuring a user‑centric approach and continuous improvement.
• Ensure successful delivery of products using Agile methodologies.
• Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and cross‑functional teams to manage and refine product backlogs, ensuring prioritisation aligns with business goals and delivery outcomes.
• Conduct gap analysis, recommend solutions, and propose improvements to business processes and systems to support efficient and effective product delivery.

You have

• In depth understanding of data and API integration, preferred experience on Databricks Lakhouse/lakebase, Unity Catalogue, Delta Share etc
• Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency in Business Process Mapping.
• Understanding of Agile software development practices, including Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Experience using tools such as Miro / Whiteboard, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Figma , HubSpot, Power BI or similar data and analytics platforms.
• Outstanding coordination abilities, with a track record of collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders in business and technical domains.
• Professional knowledge of the Energy sector
