Job summary

Searchability® is hiring in London for a third engineer to own AI agent features and help shape product direction. You will work closely with the founding engineer and senior architect to scale an AI-native product that runs inside WhatsApp.

You will own end-to-end features, from concept to production, and have a real say in how the product evolves, with equity on offer as the company grows. The role requires being in Holborn at least one day a week and contributing to rapid, hands-on

Qualifications

• Hands-on AI agent experience with agent design principles and multi-agent setups.
• Experience with agents in production handling real users and data.
• Code with AI daily; familiarity with Claude Code or Codex is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work daily on AI agents, adjusting behavior and adding capabilities.
• Own features end to end, from idea to production.
• Make product decisions across the user interaction and agent responses.
• Design, evaluate and improve agent behavior as usage grows.
• Help shape engineering setup as the team scales.

Location: Hybrid, Holborn, Central London (minimum 1 day a week in the office, more is welcome) Salary: Up to £90k + equity (full package being finalised)

The company

A fast-growing London AI startup whose product runs inside WhatsApp. It's picking up a lot of users and the team now needs to scale it. It's an early, AI-native team: the founders are in the office every day, and the whole company gets together for offsites every few months.

The role

You'll be the third engineer, joining the founding engineer, one other engineer and a senior architect who's laying the technical foundations. You'll own features and the AI agent work, with a direct line to the founders and a real say in where the product goes.

What you\'ll be doing

• Working with and on AI agents every day: changing how they behave and adding new capabilities
• Owning features end to end, from idea through to production
• Making product decisions, from a simple website interaction right through to how the agent responds to users
• Designing, evaluating and improving agent behaviour as usage grows
• Helping shape the engineering setup as the team scales

What they\'re looking for

• Hands-on AI agent experience. This matters most. You understand agent design principles, evaluations, sub-agents and multi-agent setups
• Agents in production. Ideally you\'ve run agents with real users and real data, not just research or side projects
• You code with AI every day. Claude Code, Codex or similar CLI agents are a big plus, and a well-tuned personal AI setup will stand out
• Product sense. You\'re happy making product calls and talking business, not just writing code
• London commutable, able to be in Holborn at least 1 day a week

Nice to have

• Startup experience, ideally seed to Series A
• Time in an AI-native environment
