Job summary

Searchability® is seeking an early-stage Product / AI Engineer to help design, build, and scale AI agents used by real customers. You’ll work closely with the founders in a small team, owning features from concept to production while shaping product decisions.

Based in London, you’ll join a growing AI start-up running through WhatsApp. Expect hands-on development with LLMs, tool usage, and a strong product focus in a hybrid environment with weekly on-site presence.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AI agent development with real users in production.
• Understanding of agent design, testing and evaluations.
• Experience with LLM-powered applications.
• Regular use of Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Product-focused mindset and ability to work independently.
• Able to commute to Holborn at least once per week.

THE COMPANY

We're working with an exciting London-based AI start-up whose product runs through WhatsApp and is already attracting a growing number of users.

They're looking for a Product / AI Engineer to help develop new AI capabilities, improve existing agents and scale the product.

You'll have plenty of ownership, work closely with the founders and have a genuine say in what gets built.

THE ROLE

• Design, build and improve AI agents running in production
• Develop new features and improve agent behaviours
• Work with LLMs, agent evaluations and multi-agent systems

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Hands-on AI agent development, ideally with real users in production
• Understanding of agent design, testing and evaluations
• Experience with LLM-powered applications

• Strong Software Engineering fundamentals
• A product-focused mindset and ability to work independently

NICE TO HAVE

• Early-stage start-up or AI-native company experience
• Conversational AI or multi-agent systems experience
• Full Stack Development background
