Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking a Technologist - Produce to drive food safety, quality and compliance across the Produce category. You will work with Technical Managers, growers, and suppliers to ensure products meet high standards and support sustainability initiatives.

You will analyse data, manage specifications, and investigate issues to implement effective corrective actions, while supporting supplier audits and product launches.

Qualifications

• Experience in Technical, Quality, Food Safety or Compliance roles in retail/manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of food safety principles and due diligence requirements.
• Analytical with ability to interpret data and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support food safety, quality, and compliance across the Produce category.
• Manage product specs, technical docs, and supplier due diligence.
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Analyze customer feedback and KPIs to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and teams to improve freshness and reduce waste.
• Support supplier audits, performance reviews, launches, and sourcing.
