Job description

For our Supply Chain department, we are looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Assistant who will join our UK team. The role can be office-based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, or remote, with some visits to the office required. Do you have school qualifications or work experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain? If so, see below what the position entails. You will report directly to the UK SC lead.

Responsibilities
  1. Raise PRP (Project Requirements Planning) purchase orders for equipment, materials, and services.
  2. Raise purchase orders for stock at our UK warehouse (finished goods & parts).
  3. Arrange and control hire equipment for site projects.
  4. Handle indirect (non-project) purchase orders such as PPE, EHS requirements, and stationery.
  5. Plan inbound transport.
  6. Arrange outbound local transport.
  7. Perform some supply chain reporting.
  8. Manage stock levels of various article groups.
  9. Provide backup support for the SC country lead.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
  1. Educated to at least A level; further education preferred.
  2. Experience with an ERP system (e.g., BAAN) or willingness to learn.
  3. Professional, cost-conscious, and commercial mindset. Results-oriented, perseverant, eager to learn and expand responsibilities.
  4. Effective communication skills, persuasive abilities, excellent attention to detail, willingness to speak up or ask questions, ability to prioritize workload, and work independently.
