Job summary

Anglian Water Group invites applications for a two-year Procurement Level 4 Apprenticeship based at Thorpe Wood House, Peterborough, with hybrid working and some travel across the region. Start date September 2027.

The scheme leads to Level 4 CIPS qualification and Full Procurement and Supply Chain Practitioner standard. You will learn through real procurement projects, supporting tenders, supplier relations, and data-driven buying decisions while developing commercial judgement and professional

Qualifications

• Require 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English.
• Hold a level 3 in Procurement and Supply or have at least 2 years industry experience.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and good communication skills.
• Organised, flexible, and able to manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Explore markets and find suppliers: research products, services and new ideas to understand supplier options.
• Support tenders and commercial decisions: help prepare requests for quotes and tenders, compare supplier proposals and support negotiations.
• Work with people across the business: align operations and engineering needs into clear procurement plans.
• Build supplier relationships: assist meetings, track actions and review contract performance.
• Make responsible buying choices: explore opportunities to reduce carbon and waste and benefit local communities.
• Use data and digital tools: analyse spending and use procurement systems to simplify buying.
