Job summary

Anglian Water is offering a Mechanical Degree Apprentice Programme in Peterborough, starting September 2027. The role combines on-site duties at Thorpe Wood House with hybrid working, including up to 1-2 days remote per week where feasible.

You’ll develop mechanical design, testing and analysis skills, supported by a 4.5–5 year programme that leads to a BEng (Hons) Electro-mechanical Engineering. This is a pathway to becoming a future leader or specialist within Anglian Water.

Qualifications

• 3 GCSEs at grade A*-C / 4-9 including English and Maths
• 96 UCAS Tariff points (A Levels, T Levels, BTECs, OCR, Access to HE or UCAS Tariff)
• High level of self-motivation and willingness to learn
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving and good communication skills
• Organised, flexible and able to manage time effectively
• Full UK driving licence (or in the process of obtaining one)

Responsibilities

• Develop strong mechanical skills and apply them in the workplace
• Support mechanical design, testing, analysis, reporting and quality assurance
• Help projects stay on time and on budget
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team
