Job summary

Anglian Water is offering a two-year Procurement Level 4 Apprenticeship based at Thorpe Wood House, Peterborough, with hybrid working and occasional regional travel. The programme leads to Full Procurement and Supply Chain Practitioner Level 4 with CIPS, supported by mentors and training providers.

You will learn to source goods and services,Handle tenders, build supplier relationships and use data to drive value while contributing to essential water and environmental projects.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Level 3 in Procurement and Supply or have at least 2 years industry experience.
• High level of self-motivation and willingness to learn.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and good communication skills.
• Organised, flexible, and able to manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Exploring markets and finding suppliers: researching products, services and new ideas to meet needs.
• Supporting tenders and commercial decisions: preparing RFQs and tenders, comparing supplier proposals and negotiating for best value.
• Working with people across the business: understanding needs of operations, engineering and support teams and turning them into buying plans.
• Building supplier relationships: coordinating supplier meetings, tracking actions and monitoring contract performance.
• Making responsible buying choices: exploring opportunities to reduce carbon and waste and source ethically.
• Using data and digital tools: analysing spending and using procurement systems to improve value.
