Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is recruiting for a Procurement professional to support the delivery of an effective, compliant procurement service at Hartpury. The role will manage procurement activities across a diverse range of goods, services and works, and work with colleagues and suppliers on tenders and contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a procurement, purchasing, contracts, or commercial environment.
• Organised and accurate approach with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills with data interpretation.
• Effective communicator able to build relationships with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Good commercial awareness with focus on value for money.
• Proactive and adaptable, able to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to work towards a relevant professional procurement qualification if not held.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a compliant procurement service across Hartpury.
• Manage procurement activities across a range of goods, services and works.
• Collaborate with colleagues and suppliers on procurement projects, tenders and contracts.
• Provide professional procurement advice to stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve value for money.
• Contribute to sustainable procurement practices and strategic objectives.
