Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Procurement Professional based in Glascoed for a 12‑month contract, 37 hours per week at £24.00 per hour PAYE. You will join the procurement team supporting BAE Systems with sourcing, contracting, supplier management and continuous improvement initiatives from an on-site role in Wales.

You will engage with stakeholders, ensure governance, deliver best value, manage the order book and support junior team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement environment with strong sourcing, contracting and supplier management skills.
• Level 4 qualification in procurement (e.g., CIPS or ISM) or equivalent in progress.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely provision of products/services.
• Meet governance requirements and deliver value for money.
• Manage the order book and ensure timely deliveries and accurate cash forecasting.
• Raise documents for sourcing/contracting (RFIs, RFQs, assessments, POs).
• Manage supplier payments and resolve issues with goods receipts and supplier debt.
• Identify, deliver and record savings and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Possible small team lead and deputise for Procurement Lead/Manager.
• Advocate for the Supply Chain function.
