Job Summary

We are looking for a procurement specialist to join Ingersoll Rand at our Gardner Denver business based in Redditch. The candidate will be part of Strategic Procurement team, responsible for PPV, NWC Improvements, Supply Chains, and Inventory Targets.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating strategic cost reduction initiatives.
• Negotiating with suppliers to achieve PPV and NWC targets.
• Supporting operations to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Improving supplier KPIs (quality, delivery, cost).
• Analyzing procurement data to identify opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience with OEM or automotive industry advantageous.
• Degree level or equivalent preferred.
• CIPS or similar supply chain qualification preferred.
• Full UK driving license.

Travel & Work Arrangements

Site-based, with overseas travel less than 25% as required.

Key Competencies

• Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, and planning processes.
• Experience with mainframe and personal computers is a plus.
• Good mathematical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of computerized information systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement, distribution).
• Understanding of ERP/MRP logic, ideally SAP.
• Flexible, decisive, proactive problem solver.
• Leadership skills for a team-oriented environment and lean methodologies.
• Focus on achieving business goals through KPIs.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
