Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is recruiting a Procurement Solicitor for a Tier 1 ranked procurement team in Aberdeen. You will advise on complex, high‑value procurement matters for public bodies, utilities and private partners.

Role involves drafting documentation, advising bidders, and supporting large‑scale tender processes with exposure to cross‑disciplinary projects. 1–4 PQE, strong drafting and client‑facing skills required.

Qualifications

• Solicitor with 1-5 PQE in procurement.
• Experience or interest in public or utilities procurement law.
• Background in commercial, regulatory or projects‑related discipline.
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage complex matters.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions‑focused mindset.
• Collaborative approach with ambition to specialise and progress.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing procurement documentation.
• Advising bidders on strategic positioning.
