Connells Group is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to lead procurement‑related projects from concept to implementation across the organisation. You will manage multiple workstreams, coordinate suppliers and internal teams, and provide clear reporting on progress, risks and outcomes.

You will work with Legal, Finance and operational stakeholders to ensure contractual requirements are met, identify cost and process improvements, and drive supplier innovation within a multi‑site environment.

Qualificações

  • Proven experience managing procurement, sourcing or business transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, supplier management and contract management.
  • Demonstrable project management experience, preferably within a multi-site or corporate environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Supporting the development and execution of procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of delivery.
  • Ensuring project outcomes achieve agreed commercial, operational and service objectives.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and supplier innovation.
  • Managing competitive tender exercises and supplier evaluation processes.
  • Coordinating contract implementation and mobilisation activities.
  • Working alongside Legal, Finance and operational stakeholders to ensure contractual requirements are delivered.
  • Supporting negotiations to achieve commercially advantageous outcomes.
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Facilitating project steering groups, governance forums and supplier meetings.
  • Providing regular progress updates and executive reporting.
  • Ensuring actions and deliverables are documented, monitored and completed.
  • Identifying project risks and implementing effective mitigation plans.
  • Monitoring supplier performance during mobilisation and implementation phases.
  • Ensuring project deliverables are achieved in accordance with agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Driving continuous improvement across procurement processes and project delivery methodologies.

Group Procurement within Connells Group is responsible for delivering value, efficiency and risk management across the organisation’s third‑party expenditure. The team develops sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, negotiates commercial agreements and delivers procurement‑led projects that support business growth, operational excellence and cost optimisation.

Working collaboratively with stakeholders across all business functions, Group Procurement ensures that goods and services are sourced responsibly, compliantly and in line with Connells Group objectives. Procurement plays a critical role in driving transformation projects, supplier innovation and sustainable cost management.

As Procurement Project Manager, you will lead and deliver procurement‑related projects across Connells Group. You will manage projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and in line with agreed objectives. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels, coordinate suppliers and internal teams, manage project governance and provide clear reporting on progress, risks and outcomes.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Proven experience managing procurement, sourcing or business transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, supplier management and contract management.
  • Demonstrable project management experience, preferably within a multi‑site or corporate environment.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and project management tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Project management qualification, such as PRINCE2,or equivalent, is desirable.
  • Procurement qualification, such as CIPS, is desirable.
