Working hours: Minimum of 35 hours per week working at our London Headquarters with at least 40% per month onsite.

Do you have a passion for delivering outstanding procurement support within a dynamic and mission-driven organisation? The Salvation Army is seeking a Procurement Operations Assistant to join our Operations Team in the Procurement Unit at our Territorial Headquarters in London.

As part of a collaborative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of procurement processes, managing queries, supporting stakeholders, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your procurement career while contributing to a respected charity in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a point of contact for procurement-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the Procurement Maildrop, Task Bar, and telephone call queue to ensure timely and professional responses.
  • Process and approve purchase requisitions, orders, and supplier onboarding in our P2P system.
  • Support operational buyers and help manage procurement contracts and catalogue updates.
  • Run reports and provide performance insights to the Procurement Operations Manager.
  • Train stakeholders in procurement procedures and offer end-user support on P2P systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to purchase orders, invoicing, and payments.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Up to 12 months' experience or strong understanding of procurement processes in a complex organisation.
  • Familiarity with P2P systems and purchasing software such as Unit4 or SAP.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
