Job summary

Summer-Browning Associates is seeking a Procurement Officer for a six‑month hybrid role in Bristol. You will develop autonomous sourcing plans, design processes and implementation products while identifying use cases for one-off purchases and supplier onboarding.

The role requires a strong background in delivery procurement and commercial support, with experience translating policy into clear user journeys and robust processes. Stakeholder engagement and risk management are key success factors.

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance required.
• Strong background in delivery procurement/commercial support.
• Experience in commercial sourcing, procurement improvement or route-to-market delivery.
• Ability to translate commercial policy into clear user journeys and products.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, implementation planning and risk-management skills.
• Experience with digital procurement, guided buying and AI-enabled systems is desirable.

Job description

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our public sector client, who is seeking a Procurement Officer for an initial six-month assignment with the option to extend.

Location: Hybrid working - Bristol (x2 days per week onsite)

About the role: You will be responsible for developing autonomous sourcing plans, process designs and implementation products. Additionally, you will be identifying suitable use cases for one-off purchases and supplier onboarding.

The ideal candidate will hold Active SC clearance have a strong background in delivery Procurement/ Commercial support, with the following skills and experience:

• Experience in commercial sourcing, procurement improvement or route-to-market delivery.
• Knowledge around Tail Spend.
• Experience translating commercial policy into clear, controlled user journeys and products.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, implementation planning and risk-management skills.
• Digital procurement, guided buying, AI-enabled systems experience (Desirable)
