If you have a passion for procurement and want to make a difference in the police industry, then we have an exciting opportunity for you. Our client, a police organisation based in Penrith, is looking for a motivated Procurement Business Partner to join their team. This temporary position offers a competitive hourly rate from £19.18.

Role Overview

1. Manage the procurement life-cycle and improve commercial practices within your category.
2. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as financial services, legal departments, suppliers, auditors, and police agencies.
3. Keep abreast of legislation and data protection issues, and identify areas for improvement.
4. Contribute to the development of the organisation's Commercial Plan and register of contracts.
5. Collaborate with finance colleagues to ensure budget estimates align with commercial objectives.
6. Lead the development and implementation of the commercial category strategy.
7. Identify savings opportunities and manage supplier relationships.

Candidate Requirements

1. Commercial experience with a proven track record in delivering savings.
2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
3. Proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
4. A degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a commercial or related discipline.
5. Membership or working towards membership in a relevant professional association is highly desirable.
6. Experience in supplier management and procurement strategy development is advantageous.
