Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting a Procurement Officer for a major London transport operation. This 4–6 month contract offers up to £360 per day inside IR35 via Umbrella, with 2–3 days onsite in London.

The role covers end-to-end procurement across cleaning, security, uniforms and facilities services, using public-sector frameworks and SAP Ariba. You will develop tender documents, evaluate submissions and govern procurement timelines.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of public-sector procurement processes, regulations and governance.
• Experience with Crown Commercial Service frameworks and CCS experience.
• Experience independently managing sourcing from requirement through tender and award.
• Ability to evaluate supplier submissions and make well-reasoned recommendations.
• Strong communication to engage stakeholders while managing competing priorities.
• SAP Ariba experience.

One of London's most vital transport operations are currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join the Soft FM Procurement team within a major London transport organisation.

• Role: Procurement Officer
• Duration: 4 - 6 month contract
• Pay: Up to 360 p/day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
• Location: London (2 / 3 days onsite)

This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of procurement activity covering areas including cleaning, security, uniforms, hazardous materials, labour contracts, licences and other facilities-related services.

Key Requirements:

• Strong understanding of public-sector procurement processes, regulations and governance, together with knowledge of the Procurement Act.
• Practical experience using established public-sector frameworks, with Crown Commercial Service (CCS) experience particularly relevant.
• Experience independently managing sourcing/procurement exercises from requirement definition through tender activity, evaluation and award.
• Confidence evaluating supplier submissions, assessing commercial responses and making well-reasoned recommendations.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders and suppliers while managing competing priorities.
• SAP Ariba experience
