VANRATH is assisting a large Public Sector Organisation in recruiting a Procurement Manager to join their team in Belfast.

This is a hybrid working position.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and allocating work to staff and developing a procurement workload plan.
  • Developing contract management and supplier relationship strategies across all contracts.
  • Managing and monitoring supplier performance proactively.
  • Progressing tender competitions following procurement policies and guidelines.
  • Assisting with the transfer of procurement data into the TRIM records management system.
  • Ensuring the use of eTendersNI for procurement activities.
  • Liaising with internal and external procurement professionals.
The Ideal Person
  • Possesses a relevant professional qualification, such as full membership of CIPS, and has at least two years' experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of e-Tenders and Public Sector procurement processes.
  • Has high-level communication skills suitable for all levels and mediums.
  • Can lead, manage, and motivate teams through change and challenging situations.
  • Works well under pressure to meet conflicting priorities.
  • Uses initiative and judgment to solve problems and make decisions.
