Job summary

360 Resourcing Solutions is recruiting a Procurement Manager (MRP, WMS) in Nottingham for a growing manufacturing client. You will lead procurement, drive MRP/WMS projects, and optimise supplier relationships and material flow.

Role requires hands-on experience with MRP and WMS implementations, strong supplier management, and collaboration across Production, Engineering, Planning, Finance and Sales.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies balancing cost and quality.
• Build relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, contracts and SLAs.
• Manage supplier performance via KPIs and periodic reviews.
• Lead the implementation and optimisation of new MRP and WMS systems.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Planning, Finance and Sales to align material availability with production schedules.
• Manage inventory levels to optimise stock and continuity of supply.
• Drive improvements in warehouse operations, inventory control and material flow.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.

Job description

My client is a leading and fast-growing Manufacturing business in Nottingham. Due to exciting growth we now have the need to bring on a dedicated Procurement Manager (MRP, WMS) to lead the procurement function and to support and improve existing supply chain systems.

As the Procurement Manager (MRP, WMS) will have a proven background in manufacturing, strong supplier management skills, and hands-on experience implementing new MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management System) solutions.

On a daily basis the Procurement Manager (MRP, WMS) will be responsible for:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and delivery performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts, and service level agreements.
• Manage supplier performance through KPIs, regular reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead the implementation and optimisation of new MRP and Warehouse Management Systems, ensuring successful integration with manufacturing and business processes.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Planning, Finance, and Sales to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.
• Manage inventory levels to optimise stock holding while maintaining continuity of supply.
• Lead warehouse operations, driving improvements in inventory control, stock accuracy, storage efficiency, and material flow.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvement.

If you are an experienced Procurement Manager (MRP, WMS) with demonstrable experience implementing and deploying MRP systems along with experience optimising Warehouse Management Systems then this could be an ideal move for you. You will ideally be CIPS qualified too.
