Job summary

Astute People seeks a Procurement Manager for an EPC project based in Bristol. You will lead end-to-end procurement, manage supplier relationships and ensure contract delivery on site.

This permanent, on-site role offers £65k–£75k per year, DOE, with a 5% matched pension and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. The ideal candidate has EPC/construction/energy project experience and a proactive approach to risk and cost control.

Job description

Astute's Renewable's Team is partnering with leading provider of sustainable energy and waste-to-resource solutions to recruit a Procurement Manager for an EPC project based in Bristol.

This permanent role is onsite and offers a salary of between 65,000 and 75,000

If you're a Procurement Manager with experience in EPC, construction, energy or infrastructure projects and want to take ownership of procurement strategy, supplier relationships and contract delivery,

Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager

Reporting to the Project Manager you will:

• Lead the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and tendering through to order placement, delivery and close-out.
• Develop procurement plans and purchasing schedules aligned with project budgets and delivery programmes.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships, including commercial negotiations, performance monitoring and contract compliance.
• Oversee expediting, transport and logistics to ensure materials and equipment are delivered to site on schedule.
• Identify and manage procurement, supply chain and contractual risks, maintaining accurate records and reporting on costs, commitments and progress.

Required qualifications and experience

Desirable experience

• A professional procurement or commercial qualification, such as CIPS (MCIPS), RICS or equivalent.
• Experience in renewable energy, anaerobic digestion, waste-to-resource, wastewater or utilities projects.
• Experience with NEC4 or JCT contracts, international freight, customs and import arrangements

Salary and benefits

• Salary: 65,000 to 75,000 per annum (D.O.E)
• Contract: Permanent
• Working pattern: Monday to Friday onsite
• Location: Bristol
• Benefits: 25 + 8 BH, 5% matched pension contributions
