Job description

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our site in Crumlin.

Role Overview:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the BBI procurement and material management process for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services.

You will oversee the procurement of goods and services, purchase orders, expediting assist Procurement team members and colleagues with procurement processes whilst leading a centralized procurement program that will add value and efficiency to the organization.

The Procurement manager will have tactical responsibility for the development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems that support the company’s acquisition and materials management of goods and services – for both resale, customer integration and internal use.


Role Requirements

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain robust relationships with Global supply partners driving PPV and inbound OTIF improvements
• Manage and work with relevant internal stakeholders, to deliver continuous improvement on cost, quality and service metrics.
• Deliver the procurement element of major bids and projects in the context of business core/non core activities
• Develop and manage the Implementation and execution of Procurement policies, procedures and systems that ensure the Procurement function achieves its business objectives.
• Lead negotiation strategies for contracts and closing deals with optimal terms to maximise reduction of cost increase aligned to compliance and legislation
• Lead on Procurement CI projects or be a key stakeholder within the PMO matrix
• Ensure compliance of requisitions and local functional procurement units with the Company Procurement Policy, Directive, Guidelines and the local Procurement SOPs
• Prepare contractual / status reports and overseas the assessment & selection of contractors
• Act as the company's main adviser on all issues relating to procurement spend, contract management and supply market information and keep abreast of latest external industry and economic developments to ensure BBI maintains its competitive position.
• Support and promote the New Product Introduction teams within BBI to optimise the product development and introduction phase
• Development and ownership of a number of indirect categories for the organisation
• Deliver on global KPIs, savings target
• Act as a lead for Procurement budget preparation and management
