Job summary

Sharpsmart Ltd is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead day-to-day sourcing, contracting and supplier management. You will manage end-to-end P2P processes and balance commercial delivery with governance.

This hands-on role requires collaboration with Finance and budget holders to ensure compliant, auditable purchasing. You will own supplier contracts, renewals and supplier performance, and drive cost savings while enforcing procurement policies and controls.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a procurement or sourcing role.
  • Strong negotiation skills within structured commercial frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with P2P systems.
  • Experience working closely with Finance and Accounts Payable.
  • Good understanding of procurement governance and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activity including sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation and selection.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and service levels to achieve best overall value.
  • Develop and deliver procurement strategies aligned to business and financial goals.
  • Manage supplier contracts, renewals and performance against KPIs.
  • Identify and deliver cost savings and value opportunities.
  • Ensure all purchasing aligns with approved budgets.
  • Own and manage procurement activity within Coupa.
  • Oversee supplier onboarding, catalogs, purchase orders and approval workflows.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues and improve PO compliance.
  • Support stakeholders to use Coupa correctly and consistently.
  • Enforce procurement policies, approval limits and compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of suppliers, contracts and pricing.
  • Support audit activity with clear documentation.
  • Provide Finance with visibility of committed spend.
  • Partner with budget holders to understand requirements and guide purchasing decisions.
  • Challenge non-compliant spend and promote best practice.
  • Build and manage strong supplier relationships through regular reviews.

Job description

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to lead the day-to-day sourcing, contracting and supplier management activity across the business. Reporting into Finance, this role plays a key part in ensuring all purchasing is cost effective, compliant and well controlled.

You will take ownership of the end-to-end procure-to-pay process through Coupa, working closely with Accounts Payable and budget holders to ensure smooth, accurate and auditable transactions. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who can balance commercial delivery with strong governance and stakeholder engagement.

Candidate profile
Essential
  • Proven experience in a procurement or sourcing role
  • Strong negotiation skills within structured commercial frameworks

Desirable
  • CIPS qualification or working towards it
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance processes
