Job description

WTG SMA Procurement Manager –
Blackfriars, London (very occasional travel to other project locations as required)
Hybrid – expect 3 days in the office per week
12 months, full time

The Offshore UK Wind Program involves the development of the Morgan, Mona, and Morven projects, supporting the UK Government’s target of producing sufficient offshore wind energy to power every UK home by the end of this decade. These projects have a combined potential capacity of 5.9 gigawatts, enough to power around 6 million households, contributing to Scotland’s offshore wind target of 11GW and the UK’s 50GW target by 2030. BP has formed a 50/50 JV partnership with Hamburg-based EnBW to deliver the UK Offshore Wind programme.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage the negotiation of the Service Maintenance Agreement (SMA) and Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) contracts for the WTG package in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations of the commercial contractual terms with the preferred supplier up to FID and Contract Award.
• Ensure the delivery of SMA and LTSA contracts in line with the project schedule.
• Collaborate with the project team to negotiate the Turbine Supply Agreement (TSA), ensuring interfaces and commercial risks are properly addressed.
• Support the preparation for, and seek approval from, the Project Leadership Team, Board, and Shareholders for contract awards.

Experience and Job requirements

• Experience or good understanding of large-scale energy projects in the offshore wind industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or project development, preferably in large infrastructure, manufacturing, or energy projects, including renewables.
• Understanding of offshore wind project development, components, and supply chains.
• Experience with stakeholder management, tendering, negotiation, and awarding WTG service agreements.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and team leadership abilities.
• Commercial mindset, analytical skills, and confident negotiation capabilities with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working with O&M, Commercial, and Legal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in procurement, supply chain, engineering, industrial engineering, or related fields.
