Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary financial recovery programmes across NHS Tayside and collaborate with partners to optimise current and future contract opportunities.
• Drive optimisation to deliver excellence at the lowest possible cost and influence internal behaviours and supplier relationship management.
• Support procurement workplan delivery and financial recovery activities within NHS Tayside.
• Engage with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to ensure compliant contract implementations.

The Contracts Optimisation Manager will lead multi-disciplinary financial recovery programmes across NHS Tayside in support of significant improvement and savings and will play a lead role in collaborating and sharing best practice and contractual commitments with other partner Boards. This is an exciting role which drives optimisation of current and future contract opportunities with the clear aim of supporting clinical and non-clinical stakeholders deliver excellence at the lowest possible cost; and so will have a direct influence on behaviours at the sharp end internally and on contract and supplier relationship management.

Reporting directly to the Contracts Optimisation Manager, the role will also contribute to NHS Tayside’s Procurement workplan delivery and financial recovery to ensure our commitment to continuous improvement as well as sustainability. The ideal candidate will be CIPS qualified; have a proven track record of significant savings; extensive senior level experience of NHS contract implementation and compliance; and an expert knowledge of the Procurement Journey.

Hours of work are: 36 Hours per week
