Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Contract Procurement Manager in Stevenage to lead mature supplier subcontracts in an aerospace/defence setting. You will ensure delivery per contract obligations for Domestic and Export customers, negotiate future pricing, and bid for new business while managing obsolescence and mitigation strategies.

Travel to UK and European suppliers is required. The role demands strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication across internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management and negotiation in customer/supplier environment.
• Day-to-day problem solving in a commercial environment; able to challenge and drive to common goals.
• Excellent reporting and cooperation with internal and external partners.
• Assertive approach to maximise opportunities.
• Qualified in a business subject area with procurement or supply chain accreditations, or equivalent experience.
• UK and European travel to suppliers required.

Job description

A contract procurement manager with experience in Aerospace and/or Defence environment is required for a multi national defence company based in Stevenage.

You will manage mature series production supplier subcontracts and you will undertake activities such as ensuring supplier delivery in line with contract obligations to support both Domestic and Export Customers, negotiating value for money future pricing arrangements, bidding for new business and placing subsequent subcontracts, managing supplier obsolescence issues and deploying mitigation strategies
