Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation is seeking two Procurement Manager contractors for a 9-12 month initial contract. Location is Stevenage or Bristol with hybrid 3 days onsite and rest remote. The role requires managing supplier subcontracts, negotiating terms, and ensuring delivery in line with contracts.

UK/Europe travel is required; IR35 Inside (Umbrella) and 37 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have contract management experience, strong negotiation, and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• CIPS Level 4 qualification or above desirable, but not essential.

World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit 2x Procurement Manager subcontractors on an initial 9-12 month contract.

CIPS Level 4 qualification or above desirable, but not essential

Experience of third-party IP licensing would be advantageous

SAP navigation experience

Strong commercial acumen, including T&Cs and negotiation experience

Rate:£45.00 per hour

Overtime Rate: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at 'time and a quarter'

Location: Stevenage or Bristol (depending on your preference)

Hybrid / Remote working: 3 days per week onsite and the rest working from home

Contract:37 Hours per week

Duration: 9-12 months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)

IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

Procurement Manager Job Description

We seek passionate Procurement Manager to work collaboratively with our suppliers around the world, to provide world leading defence capabilities for our home Nations and their Allies.

We lead commercial relationships with UK and overseas companies, which are typically the design authority for the articles procured. Our supplier subcontracts cover the entire life cycle of missiles and missile systems under the responsibility of the company; this provides us varied opportunities and role progression, as well as the chance to travel (potentially internationally, depending upon which project you are assigned).

You will manage mature series production supplier subcontracts and you will undertake activities such as ensuring supplier delivery in line with contract obligations to support both Domestic and Export Customers, negotiating value for money future pricing arrangements, bidding for new business and placing subsequent subcontracts, managing supplier obsolescence issues and deploying mitigation strategies

• Qualified in a business subject area with procurement or supply chain accreditations, or equivalent experience
• UK and European Travel to suppliers required
