Job Title: Procurement Leader

Location: Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £46,000 depending on experience

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Lead the co-ordination of all Supply Chain (SC) activities within your area of responsibility and drive a culture of added value.
2. Lead contract management activity for major subcontract & transactional procurement, including all commercial and cost matters.
3. Lead the communication of your area's SC activities when informing cross-functional and external stakeholders of performance, threats & failures. When required, deputise for the SC Senior Manager.
4. Manage supplier relationships, promoting our strategic and collaborative behaviours.
5. Contribute to Supply Chain Excellence by supporting activities that deliver on People, Process, Technology & Governance, ensuring the SC function is fit for the future.

Your Skills And Experiences:

1. Supply Chain, Procurement or Project Management experience.
2. Excellent Stakeholder Management and communication skills.
3. Experience of working within aerospace, defence and/or MOD packages.
4. Previously held line management responsibility.
5. Professional qualifications (CIPS/PMDY) are desirable.

The Procurement Team:
As a Procurement leader at BAE Systems, you will be managing a number of Supply Chain Professionals, ensuring your team delivers Scope and fulfills Processes, Toolsets & Reporting requirements. This is a fast-paced, commercially driven procurement environment with a varied range of development opportunities, working as part of a diverse team to deliver part of the UK’s National Defence Programme.
