Principal Procurement Compliance & Quality Assurance Officer, Manchester

Shared Services Connected Ltd is seeking a Principal Procurement Compliance & Quality Assurance Officer in Manchester, UK. This role is ideal for professionals in public sector Procurement, Compliance, or Quality Assurance looking for a dynamic opportunity.

The successful candidate will support embedding a culture of excellence within our procurement solutions team, focusing on quality, compliance, continuous improvement, and delivering outstanding procurement solutions. The role involves working cross-functionally to build relationships, influence actions, and understand customer needs to optimize procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct peer reviews of tender documentation and project outcomes.
  • Mentor colleagues on governance best practices.
  • Develop policies and tools to resolve issues and enhance processes.
  • Collaborate within the Procurement Compliance and Quality Assurance team.
  • Integrate with category project teams.
  • Stay informed on procurement trends, case law, and current topics.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Knowledge of UK public sector procurement and compliance with the UK Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
  • Experience in quality assurance and compliance reviews of procurement documentation.
  • Understanding of legal aspects related to procurement and supply.
  • Ability to challenge constructively to improve quality standards.
  • Experience in project and programme management in dynamic environments.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience managing high-value or strategic procurement projects.
  • Experience implementing procurement or sourcing strategies regionally or nationally.
  • Knowledge of digital procurement tools and category management principles.
