Job summary

The Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) seeks a Procurement Manager to join its Commercial team, delivering end-to-end procurement and contract management across diverse categories. You will ensure value for money, regulatory compliance and strong governance while working with internal stakeholders and the Department for Transport.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and contract management within central government.
• Strong analytical and transferable skills for commercial roles.
• Knowledge of statutory procurement rules and government policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement across multiple categories.
• Develop clear tender documentation with specs, criteria and terms.
• Manage market engagement, tendering, evaluation and contract award.
• Apply knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023.
• Ensure use of government-wide frameworks and robust route to market decisions.
• Maintain procurement documentation and audit trails.
• Provide timely procurement advice to stakeholders across the agency.
• Support early engagement to shape requirements and challenge specifications.
