Job summary

SJR Partners is recruiting for an Expeditor in Brentwood (Essex). The role focuses on expediting purchase orders, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure orders are delivered on time, and maintaining accurate procurement records.

This busy procurement environment requires strong administration and communication skills, with experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a similar administrative environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Expedite open purchase orders with suppliers to ensure delivery requirements are met.
• Obtain and check purchase order acknowledgements.
• Raise purchase orders in line with demand.
• Maintain accurate records and procurement documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding late, short or delayed deliveries.
• Work closely with Buyers to resolve supplier and delivery issues.
• Support internal Sales teams with ad hoc customer expedite requests.
• Coordinate supplier and purchase order schedules.
• Manage inbound queries relating to documentation and quantity discrepancies.
• Support import and customs processes, ensuring documentation is completed correctly and on time.
• Liaise with freight forwarders regarding deliveries and consolidation releases.
• Review customs documentation to support the clearance of incoming goods.
• Act as a key point of communication between procurement, suppliers and internal departments.
• Ensure all procurement administration is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
