Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc in Royston, London – hybrid, is seeking a Procurement Data and Insights Specialist to translate procurement data into actionable insights and support strategic decision making across direct and indirect spend.

You will develop Power BI dashboards, validate spend data, collaborate with category managers, identify cost savings, and communicate findings to procurement, finance and senior leadership while maintaining data quality and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Ability to translate data into clear business insights for stakeholders.
• Strong communication and ability to present findings to senior audiences.
• Experience creating and enhancing Power BI dashboards and data visualisations.
• Strong analytical skills interpreting procurement, cost and spend datasets.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or finance environments is nice to have.
• Advanced Excel and data management skills ensuring data quality.

• Reviewing bills of materials and indirect cost structures to challenge assumptions and highlight improvements.

Job title: Procurement Data and Insights Specialist Location: Royston, London - hybrid.

At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Procurement Data and Insights Specialist , you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life‑saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.

The role:

• Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards that provide actionable insights into global procurement spend, performance trends, opportunities and risks.
• Supporting the collection, validation and analysis of spend data across sectors, regions and business units to improve visibility and decision making.
• Partnering with category managers to deliver reporting and analytics that support category strategies across direct and indirect spend areas.
• Identifying cost optimisation and savings opportunities through detailed spend analysis and market data interpretation.
• Reviewing complex bills of materials and indirect cost structures to challenge assumptions and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Communicating reporting outputs, insights and recommendations to stakeholders across procurement, finance and senior leadership teams.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

• Ability to translate data into clear business insights and recommendations for a range of stakeholders.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting findings to senior audiences.
• Experience creating and enhancing Power BI dashboards, reports and data visualisations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex procurement, cost and spend datasets.
• Experience working within procurement, supply chain, sourcing, commercial or finance environments (nice to have).
• Advanced Excel and data management skills, with a focus on reporting accuracy and data quality.
