Job summary

1st Executive is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of construction, engineering, maintenance and operational contracts, ranging from £100k to £10m+. You will work closely with the Projects team to negotiate commercial agreements, manage contractual risks and ensure contracts are administered from tender to completion.

• Solid understanding of contract law and commercial risk.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of contracts from tender through to completion.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and manage contractual risks with the Projects team.
• Ensure effective contract administration and governance across high-value projects.
• Lead multi-contract coordination and strategic commercial issues on delivery.

Exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business that has grown its turnover from £14m to £150m in under four years!

I am recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of construction, engineering, maintenance and operational contracts, ranging from £100k to £10m+.

Working closely with the Projects team, you will negotiate commercial agreements, manage contractual risks and ensure contracts are effectively administered from tender stage through to completion.

Key Experience Required

• Strong background in construction or engineering contracts management, ideally within complex industrial projects.
• Practical experience of NEC4 contracts.
• Proven commercial negotiation skills, including tenders, variations and claims.
• Experience managing post-award contracts, change control, commercial risks and contractual obligations.
• Good understanding of contract law and commercial risk.
• Ability to manage multiple high-value contracts simultaneously.
